• Courts and tribunals.
• Local authorities, including animal-licensing and dog-control functions.
• Trading Standards and other consumer-protection authorities.
• Government departments and statutory regulators acting within their powers.
• Animal-welfare bodies where disclosure has a lawful basis.

What ePuP may preserve

Where legally appropriate, ePuP may preserve relevant account, advert, moderation, verification, message, login, payment-reference or technical records that are under its control. Preservation does not mean information will automatically be disclosed.

Retention and disclosure remain subject to applicable data-protection, court-order and other legal requirements.

Requests for user information

ePuP expects authorities to identify the legal basis, scope, account or advert concerned, and sufficient information to locate responsive records. ePuP may seek clarification, narrow overbroad requests or require appropriate legal process where necessary.

Nothing prevents ePuP from making disclosures where necessary to protect vital interests, respond to an emergency or comply with another lawful basis.

User notification

Where lawful and appropriate, ePuP may notify a user that information has been requested. Notification may be delayed or withheld where prohibited by law, court order, the nature of an investigation, risk of harm or another legitimate reason.

Emergency situations

If there is an immediate threat to life or serious physical harm, members of the public should contact the emergency services directly. ePuP is not an emergency service.

Authorised agencies dealing with an emergency should use the appropriate official contact route supplied by ePuP when available.
